MG Group Marks 30 Years at Zaheerabad Facility, Reinforces Leadership in Integrated Bus Manufacturing
MG Group has completed 30 years at its Zaheerabad facility, strengthening its leadership in integrated bus manufacturing in India. With advanced production systems, AIS-153 certification, and revenues above Rs. 700 crore, the company continues to expand its engineering capabilities and premium coach development through its Zaheerabad and Belagavi facilities under CMD Anil Mohan Kamat.
Under the leadership of Chairman and Managing Director Anil Mohan Kamat, MG Group has developed a strong reputation over three decades for delivering high-quality mobility solutions across school buses, staff transportation, mofussil route operations, and premium coaches. The company’s Zaheerabad facility functions as a high-capacity, fully integrated manufacturing hub, encompassing fabrication, painting, trimming, assembly, fibre-reinforced plastic composites, electrical systems, and fire protection integration.
The Belagavi facility serves as a specialised centre for premium and design-led coach development, advanced finishing, and prototype engineering work, strengthening the group’s presence in the premium mobility segment.
MG Group’s manufacturing excellence and leadership were formally recognised at a national commercial vehicle industry forum, where it received the Application Builder of the Year award. Its Chairman and Managing Director, Anil Mohan Kamat, was also honoured as Business Leader of the Year. In addition, the company has achieved AIS-153 certification across multiple coach platforms, reinforcing its commitment to safety standards and regulatory compliance.
With revenues exceeding Rs. 700 crore, MG Group continues to expand its manufacturing capacity and technological capabilities. The company is prioritising consolidation of large-scale operations at Zaheerabad, expansion of premium offerings at Belagavi, and increased investment in automation and composite material technologies.
